In this experimental artist talk, Liz Rosenfeld will share her thoughts and reflections on the concept of ‘undoing’, drawing on her current research.
Through excerpts from her work involving moving images, performance, drawing and writing, in which she has systematically addressed themes such as queer eroticism, Rosenfeld will raise questions concerning the responsibility of occupying space, the manner in which erasure occurs through a queer stance in contemporary dance and performance, and her experience of ‘discovering’ her own work from the perspective of a middle-aged, mid-career queer artist.
This session is part of the Shaking the Habitual with Kem School, organised within the framework of the Colectivos Pláka programme of studies on contemporary society and culture, run by the Contemporary Art Department of Ágora – Cultura e Desporto do Porto.
