Performance with Julmud and Basel Abbas

The programme for the opening of the exhibitions at the GMP continues that evening at 11.00 pm at Passos Manuel.

Julmud, a musician and producer based in Ramallah, presents a live set in collaboration with Basel Abbas on vocals.

His sound contrasts intense, deconstructed rhythms with wistful tunes and penetrating percussion. Forged in the underground culture, Julmud combines technical prowess with a deep knowledge of regional traditions. His performance reimagines Palestinian and Arabic sonic identity — weaving intricate microtonal scales and haunting vocal textures into a powerful ritual that defies conventional genres.

The event is being held in partnership with the Porto/Post/Doc documentary film festival.
