B Fachada

B Fachada, stage name of Bernardo Fachada, is one of the most central and distinctive figures in 21st-century Portuguese popular music. A composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, he has built since 2007 a vast and unpredictable body of work, marked by an intense release pace and a constant subversion of aesthetic and cultural expectations.

Having studied music at the Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa and with experience at the Hot Clube de Portugal as well as in Portuguese Studies at university, B Fachada combines erudition and irreverence in a singular artistic language. His songs function simultaneously as social commentary and artistic object, challenging categories and deconstructing conventions.

Across his discography — including EPs, mini-albums and full-length records — he has explored themes ranging from tradition to politics, childhood to cultural critique, always with humour, rigor and experimentation. Works such as Criôlo, O Fim and Rapazes e Raposas consolidate a trajectory that both influences and unsettles the Portuguese music scene.

B Fachada is more than the sum of his references; he is an artist who continually redefines the boundaries of contemporary cultural production.
