Book launch

Galeria Municipal do Porto hosts the presentation of the second volume of Alberto Carneiro’s catalogue raisonné, dedicated to the artist’s editions and other printed materials produced over more than six decades of his career.

Written by art historian Catarina Rosendo, the book brings together and documents around 80 works, including albums, posters, catalogues, screen prints and visual essays, highlighting the importance of publishing and printing in Alberto Carneiro’s artistic practice.

The session will feature the author, Catarina Rosendo, guest speaker Isabel Baraona, and Márcia Novais, responsible for the publication’s graphic design.

The book is jointly published by Culturgest and the Municipality of Santo Tirso (Centro de Arte Alberto Carneiro), with financial support from the República Portuguesa – Cultura, Juventude e Desporto / Direção-Geral das Artes and Galeria 3+1.
