Performance For Voice

October marks the last activation of Lydia Ourahmane’s exhibition For Voice.

At the opening of Lydia Ourahmane’s “For Voice”, we had the opportunity to hear the musical scores inscribed in Braille on the Gallery’s walls, performed by singers Cristina Afonso and Joana Rita Santos.

In the last weekend of the exhibition, their voices will once again echo through the Gallery. Through lyrical singing and the particular acoustics of the space, the performance creates an intimate and immersive listening experience, where architecture, voice and presence come together.

The work draws on the architecture and acoustics of the exhibition space to shape a score performed by visually impaired singers, proposing a listening experience that transforms the relationship between space, voice and presence.
