Morada Aberta is a multidisciplinary art project that combines video and analogue film (Super 8mm and 16mm) with documentary and fictional footage. It stems from Tânia Dinis’s personal research into memory, illness and healing, drawing on the experiences of women from the Norte, Baixo and Alto Minho regions — historically labelled as witches and healers — and their role in alternative forms of care. By superimposing images and narratives that interweave territories, practices and lived experiences, the artist creates a sensory and reflective space exploring the mystical-religious and the ancestral feminine.

Tânia Dinis (1983) is an artist and filmmaker. Her work combines experimental cinema, performance, documentary, archival material and personal memory. Trained in theatre and visual arts, her films have won awards both nationally and internationally. She develops artistic research projects and teaches in the fields of cinema and theatre.
