Glote is a sound diffusion device constructed from resonant objects that bring sound closer to, and link it with, materials. Each element of the system is conceived as part of a collective anatomy: a metallic lung, a rope trachea, a bronze tongue. This system aims to present itself as an entity somewhere between an artefact of mysterious origin and an indecipherable mechanical creature, whose existence need not be justified by ingenuity, but rather by listening, by presence and by myth. A machine/creature that functions as if it had been discovered rather than invented, and which will be activated during performances at the Hotelier, as part of a series featuring various artists: António Feiteira, João Polido, lendl Barcelos, Margarida Garcia and Violeta Azevedo.

Francisco Pedro Oliveira is a multidisciplinary artist. Drawn to different artistic languages, he explores syncretic notions of spirituality and communication in his work. He is involved in projects such as *Amuleto Apotropaico* with António Feiteira, *Edições Fera Felina* with Diana Lucena, and the curatorial platform *Branda* with Carlos Milhazes. Born in Santa Maria da Feira, he is based in Porto.
