‘Temporada Equestre’ is a publishing series by Palpable Press, co-published and distributed by Chili Com Carne, which brings together three works of speculative fiction, cultural criticism and comics. The year 2026, marked by the return of the Horse sign in the Chinese Zodiac — an ancient symbol of creative freedom and transformative energy — serves as the overarching metaphor for this series of publications, which engage with one another through distinct yet complementary forms of expression: “CUTENCYCLOPEDIA: A Theoretical-Practical Investigation on Kawaii as an Aesthetic Category in Art and Pop Culture”, by Ana Matilde Sousa/Hetamoé; “DANNY AND ARBY: GREATEST HITS”, by Luís Barreto; and “PANGEIA BURNS IN THE COFFIN”, by Rudolfo da Silva.

Palpable Press is an independent publishing house dedicated to the publication of zines and other forms of artistic expression. Since its foundation in 2018, Palpable Press has forged a unique path, characterised by the exploration of themes spanning speculative fiction, pop culture and self-reflection, with a particular focus on comics and critical thinking.
