Galeria Municipal do Porto

9kg de Oxigénio

9kg de Oxigénio is the book that accompanies the group exhibition with the same name, curated by “A Certain Lack of Coherence”, a project managed by André Sousa and Mauro Cerqueira.
In 2019, Galeria Municipal do Porto challenged the duo to develop an exercise that would start from the problematic of the relationship between independent curatorial practice (and self-managed by artists) and the institutional exhibition context, resulting in a group exhibition with works by 18 artists.

For the development of each publication, artists, curators, critics and researchers are invited to discuss the themes raised by each project and reflect on its relevance in the current artistic panorama.
