After the Bang
Book published in the context of the group exhibition After the Bang, an exhibition project curated by Tomás Abreu, with the participation of Alice dos Reis, Francisco M. Gomes, Henrique Pavão, Hugo de Almeida Pinho, Igor Jesus, Jorge Jácome, Lúcia Prancha, Mariana Rocha, Mariana Vilanova, Pedro Huet, Rodrigo Gomes, Sara Graça and
Tomás Abreu.
After the Bang proposed a reflection on the paradoxes of globalization and the massification of technologies, while challenging notions of manipulation of time, in its multiple conceptual, perceptual and material dimensions.
The project resulted from the Expo’98 no Porto grant, which granted two bursaries for the realization of two exhibitions at the Galeria Municipal do Porto.

The Galeria Municipal do Porto’s publications are conceived on the basis of its exhibition projects and public programmes and reflect the intention to document such initiatives, and foster research associated to the arts and contemporary thought.
