Ugly Ducks is a research and photographic documentation project focusing on a group of buildings constructed in Porto, roughly between 1970 and 1990, by anonymous architects and designers, which together form a distinctive and recognisable architectural identity for the city – one that is disappearing without anyone noticing.

Based in Porto, Fala Atelier is an architecture practice founded in 2013 and based in Porto, led by Filipe Magalhães, Ana Luisa Soares, Ahmed Belkhodja and Lera Samovich.
