A Leste’s exhibition programme for this year is organised around the basic elements — air, water, earth and fire — that bring our world to life. The exhibitions are presented in pairs and are accompanied by a parallel activity (a talk, dinner, listening session, poetry reading, concert, etc.) designed to provide an opportunity for dialogue and sharing inspired by the works on display. In addition to the exhibitions, A Leste’s annual multidisciplinary festival will be held, along with an open call for proposals in the field of performance that explore themes of gender, sexuality and social marginalisation through a feminist, insurrectionary and intersectional lens.

A Leste is an independent space for cultural and artistic production that sees itself as a place for transdisciplinary experimentation and critical thinking, where different forms of experience and knowledge converge.
