With an aesthetic centred on the practices of field recording and soundwalking, TRESPASSE presents a sound-based exploration of Bouça, a neighbourhood in Porto that has been the subject of the artists’ previous works, such as CASCA-ASA-FAZ CASA (2024). The combination of field recording with the sounds of musical instruments — the violin and the euphonium — seeks both to question the relationship between music and its surrounding environment and to create, in podcast format, a sonic work that places human and social dynamics at the heart of contemporary reflections on a changing microcosm, where new reinforced concrete buildings are springing up just round the corner.

Beatriz Rola and Inês Luzio are a duo of artists with a background in performing traditional written music. Since 2019, they have been developing a collaborative practice that combines listening, reflection, performance and improvisation using acoustic instruments, composition incorporating field recordings and electronic sounds, and facilitating sound and poetic experiments with others. They are based in the Bouça neighbourhood of Porto.
